2010-04-17 : Empathology
In many ways my life experiences have helped to correct some of my innate deficiencies. I used to be a very empathetic person. Thanks to a traumatic incident that happened in the past, i learnt to modulate my empathy. In this way, i don't get as upset when i don't want to, or when it's not beneficial to be upset, while still retaining the ability to empathize. It's quite good, especially when i see other people getting upset about things that happen to other other people.

Then again, surely some would say i've become apathetic. This isn't really true, though.
