2008-07-19 : Why. So. Serious?
Do you guys know about the cross-island rule?

The cross-island rule states that if it's raining on one side of the island, it won't be raining on the other side of the island. Like if it's raining at NUS, we know it won't be raining at home. (East!)

What it means is that if you're out at school without an umbrella and it starts to rain, it probably won't be raining at home so I won't get wet walking home. Yay!

Or if it looks like it's going to rain at home and it starts drizzling, and you were supposed to go to school for tennis, it (hopefully) won't be raining in school. (It wasn't)

There are exceptions, like when you get those gigantic thunderstorms and torrents of rain that even windscreen wipers on the highest setting won't clear. Those monsters cover the entire island, so..

We went to school on Friday for tennis and rag. Tennis in the morning, followed by rag in the afternoon. Of course, we were there for rag in a mostly advisory capacity.. Nono. We actually did work. Like, I ran around looking busy and solving problems and doing odd jobs and talking to people. Hoho. It's quite fun to be able to run around doing stuff of your own volition.

Thursday night, we went to watch The Dark Knight. Heath Ledger's acting was every bit as gritty as they say it is. It's scary. We watched at the Medsoc charity screening, front row seats no less.

Yes they really were front row seats. 'A' row, to be exact. Horrible. 'Twas exactly the same as last year, except that last year's tickets were free. Also, apparently the tickets for front rows cost 5 bucks, but we paid ten bucks... Go figure.

I would like very much to own any of the vehicles that batman uses in the movie. Mmm.
