We know that many womenfolk consider the game to be childish, immature, and a humongous waste of time. They are fed up of losing their men to a game which they know nothing about, and which in any case is stupid and a waste of time! It's a lousy game.

Well, this entry aims to shed some light on why guys love dota.

Contrary to public opinion, guys are actually social creatures and not the grunting Neanderthals that many people think they are. Guys enjoy a range of social activities, many involving sports, and most of these being played with other guys. Even though it may not seem like it, dota actually falls into the category of a sport and social activity.

Guys will usually only play dota with friends. Guys love competition and also to bond with other guys and a sport like dota fulfills both of these criteria. Therefore guys play dota. This applies to all other team sports, including sports perceived as 'real' like soccer, basketball and other sports. Dota is the same as all these other sports, except that it doesn�t involve any physical exertion.

Therefore, when your guy plays dota, he is actually engaging in some very important bonding with his fellow guys. This is important for your guy, because he has been forced to conform to societal gender roles from the time he was two years old and disallowed cooking toys and prams. He is, as a result, emotionally starved and needs this emotional contact with other guys.

Therefore when you see your guy playing dota, leave him to bond with his mates. As long as he doesn't do it too often, dota is healthy for a guy.
