2008-04-04 : bad notes.
Seriously, sometimes when i look at certain sets of notes by certain lecturers, *cough cough nucleotide metabolism cough* i wonder why we're paying so much school fees for. Some of these lecturers couldn't care less whether we passed or failed, as long as their precious research is fine. Is there some sort of arrangement they have with the university where they have to clock a minimum number of teaching hours or something? From the way some of them lecture, it certainly looks that way.

Some of the biochem notes are just a mess of pathways with no explanation. It's quite irritating. why is there a pathway from 10 pages ago in the middle of my notes? for reference? to confuse me? because it's part of the current point as well as the previous point? because some lecturer hasn't changed his notes for ten years and can't give a damn?

I swear, someone should strap them all to a chair and make them learn stuff from each others' notes, and no touching their research until they've either learned something or have broken down in tears promising never to make such wickedly bad notes again.
